Here is a quick update on my hat block quest! I’ve placed an order with Guy Morse-Brown! Yay!! I’m so excited! The blocks  above are part of my order - I also got a brim (plus a collar to go with it) and a block stand (it’ll make working easier). All this for a total of £562 (661 euros), that’s with the delivery and a string groove that you have to pay extra for (got it added to the brim). Quite alot money to spend in one go, but I know that I’ll use the blocks to death. My favourite block has to be the little fascinator one (£99!), it’s so cute! The people at Guy Morse-Brown were really helpful and gave very speedy replies to my mails, their website is also very clear (unlike the deutch Van der Broek one) . My order will be finished in about three weeks time, how will I  be able to wait that long ?!! I have to have them now!!

I’ve got some arriving from them too next week, I’m so excited. I got even more excited when I saw you’d made your first order as well.

19|Feb|2010 6well, i’m sure you’ll be showing off your blocks on your blog too! It’s nice to see somebody else so enthousiastic, your millinery course looks great. Apart from blocking straw and felts are yo ugoing to see any other technics?

20|Feb|2010 7We’re onto the big coursework piece for the year now so I don’t think we’ll go into any further techniques this year unless our individual pieces require them. I’m planning to take the BTEC next year and learn even more
I love reading your blog - you make so many beautiful things
