This great pic comes from the hat museum in Chazelle-sur-Lyon. Do I myself wear a hat? ……uh, no. I know, I know…what’s all this about? Not wearing a hat!!? Ok, sure, I make hats, I just love the way they look on OTHER people! In french, there’s a very good expression that sums this up : ‘les cordonniers sont toujours les plus mal chaussés’ (shoemakers always wear the worst shoes), we work hard for you but we sort of neglect it when it comes to ourselves. Even so, I KNOW I should wear more headwear. Easier said then done, what with this summer heat all of a sudden,  I just feel like shaving my head…

Cette affiche géniale se trouve au musée du chapeau à Chazelle-sur -Lyon (certes la photo est floue mais bon, vous arrivez à lire, non?). Est-ce-que je porte moi-même des chapeaux?…euh,non. Je sais, je sais….c’est quoi cette histoire? Tu ne portes pas chapeau?!!? Ok, je fabrique des chapeux, mais je préfère les voir porter par d’AUTRES! Il y a une très bonne expression qui résume bien la situation : ‘les cordonniers sont toujours le plus mal chaussés’, on travaille dur pour vous satisfaire mais pour nous même c’est autre chose! Mais bon, je SAIS que je devrais porter plus de chapeaux et compagnie. Plus facile à dire qu’à faire, avec l’arrivée soudaine de la chaleur estivale j’ai juste envie de me raser le tête!
