Like many people who sew, I have boxes full of fabric and bits and bobs that I seem to never actually use. Remember those pink peacock feathers I got in New York a year and a half ago? Still haven’t taken them out of their packet! They are so pretty, how can I even dare think of using them!?!
A couple of years ago, I bought some sinamay, about five different colors (I think about a meter each…I can’t actually remember how much…). I’ve used some now and then – a flower here, a bow there…but nothing big. And the other day, I was finally sick and tired off seeing all this sinamay neatly put away in a big bag not being used! So, got my scissors out and started on this project. Not sure where am I going, but I’m on the way there!

Comme beaucoup de personnes qui font de la couture, j’ai des cartons remplis de tissus et de bidules que je n’utilise jamais vraiment. Vous vous rappelez des ces plumes de paon roses que j’ai acheté à New York il y a un an et demi? Pas encore sorties du sachet d’emballage! Elles sont trop jolies, comment puis-je oser penser à les utiliser!?!
Il y a deux ans, j’ai acheté du sisal,  environ cinq couleurs différentes (je pense un mètre de chaque…je n’arrive pas vraiment à m’en rappeler…). J’en ai utilisé de temps en temps : une fleur par ci, un noeud par là…mais rien d’énorme. Puis l’autre jour, j’ai eu marre de voir tout ce sisal bien rangé fans un grand sac entrain de ne pas être utilisé! Donc, j’ai pris mes ciseaux et j’ai commencé ce nouveau projet. Je ne suis pas sûre où ça va me mener, mais je suis en route!
